Safety & Inclusion

Hands making a heart

Everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and proud of where they live.

Safety goes beyond policing. It means addressing root causes like poverty, education gaps, and lack of mental health access.

Why It Matters to Me: As someone who grew up LGBTQ+ in a town that didn't always feel welcoming, I know what it's like to not belong. I'm committed to building a St. Louis Park where no one feels like an outsider.

Here's how I'll ensure St. Louis Park is equitable and inclusive:

  • Invest in Real Safety - Support programs that build stability and security in every neighborhood.
  • Champion Equity - Fight for access to affordable housing, education, good jobs, and healthcare for all.
  • Celebrate Diversity - Push for policies that uplift all races, genders, orientations, and backgrounds.
  • Create Welcoming Spaces - Fund inclusive public spaces, community art, and grassroots efforts that bring us together.

Bottom Line: Let's ensure our city is a place where everyone feels safe, seen, and proud to call home—no matter who they are or where they come from.
